Projects

These are some of the projects I waste my free time with:

HippoHX is a tool for developing Flash based desktop applications. Yes, just like AIR but Open Source and based on SWHX and haXe.

ZCode is the repository where I currently keep most of my code. Think of it as backup gently provided by Google that I like to share just in case someone finds something interesting.

ZLog is a very lightweight logging system for Flash. I’ve been using it for years because it does exactly what I need, no more, no less.

Lo que yo sé de is a wanna-be project about free digital “books”. Is opened to contributions although the reality is that I’ve written the only 2 currently available. One about the basics of AS2 development and the other one about working with SVN (also available in English: What I know about SVN).

I also occasionally give Flash-related talks: SVN for Flash developers at LFPUG or Recycle your code (and focus on what matters) at SubFlash 2007.

Dando la chapa is my other blog in Spanish where I rant about non-geeky stuff. Originally I was mixing both geek and non-geek posts but at some point I thought it was worth splitting them up to focus a little bit more.

The geek in me is always looking for useless ways of wasting time nice projects so if you have a crazy idea and you think I can help you out with it, just drop me a line at cuentame [thingy] zarate . tv.
